KIWI


The exotic fruit Kiwi is the berry of the vine Actinidia. It was given such a name by the ancient similarity of appearance between the fruit covered with villi and the bird called kiwi.

Charateristics

  • It has an ovoid shape.
  • The pulp is green, tender, juicy and bittersweet.  
  • It is lined by a thin brown skin and slightly hairy.  
  • It can measure from 4 to 7,5cm in length by 3,5 to 5cm in width.  
  • Its weight varies from 30-150g, depending on the climatic conditions and the cultivation system.  
  • It has a variable size.
  • It contains numerous and small edible black seeds.
